TYPICAL DUTIES
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and reviews the work of fee collectors; trains staff as required; participates in performance reviews and evaluations.
  • Schedules fee collection times and locations; reviews and verifies daily fee collection reports; prepares weekly deposits and transmits to County Treasury; resolves citizen complaints; maintains collection records, entrance station reports, accounting sheets, time cards, and other reports and records as required; ensures that camping and boating logs are complete and that reservation schedules are distributed to entrance kiosks on time.
  • Inventories and orders forms, tickets, and supplies as needed; keeps inventory records on all fee collection equipment including radios, chargers and vehicles.
  • Oversees and participates in park service activities and entrance station fee collection in areas including parking, pet, zoo admission, fishing, boating and camping.
  • Provides information and directions to public; answers visitor questions.
  • Maintains entrance station kiosk with all supplies and equipment required.
Qualifications:

License:  Possession of a valid California Driver's License.

Experience:  Two years of paid experience in handling cash, making change and preparing related reports.

Substitution:  Completion of 30 semester units at an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the above-required experience.
