As a Recreation Leader I, you’ll play a pivotal role in organizing and executing various recreational programs and activities for all ages and backgrounds, and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact along the way. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing, instructing, and executing programs and activities in a recreation or education-type setting. Experience in facility management, registration/reservation software, and social media marketing is highly preferred.

Note: This position is a half-time regular vacancy. Employees in this classification work an average of 20 hours per week and receive prorated benefits in accordance with the West Hollywood Municipal Employees (WEHOME) MOU. 

Reports to: Recreation Supervisor

Salary: $19.84 - $25.35 Hourly

• High school diploma or GED (desirable);
• One year of coursework from college or technical school desired; and,
• One to two years of progressively responsible related experience; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (desirable).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include irregular hours, various shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call status.
