The Recreation Coordinator III will plan, implement and administer youth and adult recreation and community service programs and activities such as day camps, special events, and recreation classes; assign and oversee staff providing safe and well-managed recreation and community service programs including youth and adult sports, leisure classes, special events, youth camps, and other related City programs; assist with the management of the City's recreation facilities, and will provide assistance with marketing and promotion of these and other programs. This position is not overtime exempt, requires a flexible schedule, and will include some evening and weekend work.

Position pay range: $67,828.80 - $91,270.40 annually depending on experience

Experience:    Three years of increasingly responsible experience in recreation, including two years of lead worker responsibility. Major coursework from an accredited college or university focusing on recreation, physical education, leisure studies, sociology, communications, or a related field. Possession of or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license. Possession of or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid CPR and basic first aid certificate.
