Aquatics Site Supervisor
Coordinates and oversees the daily operations of a City aquatics program site. Plans, coordinates and supervises aquatics program activities and events. Supervises aquatics program staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Option A
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Two years of recent, paid work experience planning, organizing and implementing community service programs and events, preferably in an aquatics environment. At least one year of the recent, paid experience must have included leading and coordinating the work of others.
Option B
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree.
Experience: Four years of recent, paid work experience planning, organizing and implementing community service programs and events, preferably in an aquatics environment. At least one year of the recent, paid experience must have included leading and coordinating the work of others.
Option C
Education: Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Six years of recent, paid work experience planning, organizing and implementing community service programs and events, preferably in an aquatics environment. At least one year of the recent, paid experience must have included leading and coordinating the work of others.
Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a valid Red Cross or National/State accredited certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the professional rescuer, Water Safety Instruction and lifeguard training. Possession of a lifeguard training instructor certificate and/or Instructor Trainer certification is desirable. Must obtain National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator certificate within six months of hire. Possession of a valid class C driver license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
