Description:

The City of Corvallis Aquatics Center Supervisor plans, organizes, and promotes aquatics and other recreational activities for the community. Manages the aquatics facility operations, staff, and programs ensuring the safety and security of operations and in compliance with public health, safety, and local regulations and policies. Must meet all qualifications and requirements as listed in the position description. Full-time, non-represented, FLSA-Exempt position, 12-month probationary period.

At Parks and Recreation, our mission is to preserve and create a community heritage by providing places and programs designed to enhance the quality of life. Osborn Aquatic Center is equipped with four pools, including an Olympic size 50-meter pool, a warm water teaching pool, a waterpark leisure pool, and a 25-meter lap pool.

Qualifications:

Requirements
Associates or 2-year degree in recreation, business administration, public health or a related field and six years  increasingly responsible work experience in a community-based aquatic facility, including at least two years of supervisory experience;

OR

Bachelor's degree in recreation, business administration, public health or a related field and four years increasingly responsible work experience in a community-based aquatic facility, including at least two years of supervisory experience.

Current Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certifications required.

Aquatic Facility Operator or Certified Pool Operator required within probationary period.

Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training Instructor required within probationary period.

Water Safety Instructor Trainer and Lifeguard Training Instructor Trainer preferred.

Confined space and mechanical lift training within probationary period.

Possession or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon Driver’s License.
