RECREATION SERVICES COORDINATOR 2, CAMPS & AFTERSCHOOL

City of Sunnyvale is recruiting for an energetic, creative, and passionate Recreation Services Coordinator 2 for Camps and Afterschool. This position is based at the Sunnyvale Recreation Center and supports the City’s Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Afterschool Program at four local elementary schools in partnership with the school district. The role also oversees the coordination of traditional summer camps, including staff training, mentorship, performance evaluations, and the development of program curriculum. Key responsibilities include monitoring enrollment trends and leading the camp planning and training committee. The Library and Recreation Services Department inspires a healthy community by fostering lifelong learning and play through progressive services and programs for all.

Recreation Services Coordinators are responsible for development and implementation of dynamic recreation programs that support the Library and Recreation Services Department's Mission Statement. Based on qualifications, fit and applicant's interest, successful candidates will be placed in the Youth and Teens Unit.

Salary: 
Recreation Services Coordinator  2, Camps & Afterschool $47.40 - $60.49 Hourly

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in recreation/leisure, arts administration, hospitality management, human services, public administration, business administration or a related field; AND

Three years of experience similar to a Recreation Services Coordinator I with the City of Sunnyvale.
