Recreation Coordinator

The City of Dublin is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Recreation Coordinator for the Parks & Community Services Department! The ideal candidate enjoys the challenges of working in a fast-paced and growing organization. They are comfortable with and have experience planning, implementing, and evaluating community recreation programs. They have a customer service focused leadership style, and experience leading and mentoring employees to be creative, collaborative, and successful at achieving organizational expectations. They are friendly, and approachable, have the emotional intelligence to work effectively as part of a team, and value different work styles. They should be able to convey information clearly in both writing and speaking and have a passion for serving people.
Training and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to education and experience that is likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education:
Equivalent to an Associate’s (A. A. or A. S.) degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation, leisure activities or a closely related field. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
Experience:
Two years of progressively responsible paid experience in recreation programming.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- For Aquatic positions, certification in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR and Water Safety Instruction is preferred.
- Possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License and a Certificate of Automotive Insurance for Personal Liability.
