RECREATION SERVICES COORDINATOR 1, MARKETING & EVENTS

City of Sunnyvale is recruiting for an energetic, creative, and passionate Recreation Services Coordinator 1 to assist in the Administration, Marketing & Events unit. The Library and Recreation Services Department inspires a healthy community by fostering lifelong learning and play through progressive services and programs for all.

Recreation Services Coordinator 1 is responsible for marketing, outreach, event planning and part-time staff recruitment efforts. Past responsibilities have included leading monthly Activities newsletter production, creating and analyzing social media efforts, assisting with marketing related projects, leading all recruitment and program outreach efforts and assisting to plan events like park grand openings, 4th of July Festival, Sunset Movies Series and the Community Awards program that support the Library and Recreation Services Department's Mission Statement.

Salary: 
Recreation Services Coordinator 1, Marketing & Events $40.94 - $52.25 Hourly

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in recreation/leisure, arts administration, hospitality management, human services, public administration, business administration or a related field; AND

Two years of experience in recreation programs or other community based services.
