Parks Services Administrator
OPEN EXAMINATION - ONE-YEAR PROBATIONARY PERIOD
Job Description: Under the general direction of the Director of Community Services and Parks, this management position directs the operation of all parks and recreational areas, facilities, buildings, and other public grounds, and assists with the planning, design and construction of such facilities.

Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Director of Community Services and Parks.
Working Conditions
Work may be performed outside in a variety of field and weather conditions, or indoors in office settings.
Work is primarily performed Monday to Friday during regular office hours.
The following functions are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all listed functions and/or may be required to perform additional or different functions from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
An equivalent combination of experience and education sufficient to perform the essential job functions and provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Parks Management, Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Architecture or a related field.
Experience:
Seven years responsible experience in park, horticultural, and ground maintenance, including three years of administrative or supervisory experience in land development and management work related to Parks and Recreation.
Transportation:
Valid Class C California Driver's License.
