Recreation Coordinator - Sports & Facilities
The Recreation Coordinator - Sports & Facility Operations is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating a diverse portfolio of youth and adult recreation programs, facility rentals, camps, classes, leagues, and special events. This position plays a key role in creating positive recreation experiences for participants of all ages while ensuring high-quality customer service, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, customer-service focused, and passionate about youth development, community recreation, sports programming, and facility operations. This position requires a highly motivated individual who enjoys working directly with participants, parents, instructors, contractors, volunteers, and community partners.
Primary Program Responsibilities
Youth Sports Programs
Develop, coordinate, and oversee year-round sports programs serving preschool and school-age participants, including:
- Multi-sport programs
- T-Ball
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Sports clinics and leagues
- Parent-child sports programs
- School break and holiday camps
Adult Pickleball Programs
Manage and grow one of the agency's largest recreation programs, including:
- Adult Pickleball Club operations
- Membership administration
- Leagues and tournaments
- Sports Academy instructional programs
- Court scheduling and utilization
- Instructor coordination
- Customer communication
- Program evaluation and expansion
Adult Table Tennis Program
Coordinate and oversee adult table tennis programming including:
- Club operations
- Open play schedules
- Instructional classes
- Clinics and special events
- Instructor and volunteer coordination
- Participant engagement and retention
Facility Rental Program
Manage a comprehensive facility rental program that serves community groups, businesses, schools, and residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and approving rental requests
- Coordinating contracts, permits, insurance, and payments
- Customer service and conflict resolution
- Facility scheduling
- Event logistics
- Development and implementation of rental policies and procedures
